What is the Viewer role, and how does it work?
We've added a new role for your TransferGo business team: Viewer. It's designed for team members who need to keep an eye on your account activity without being able to move money — perfect for accountants, finance reviewers, or anyone who just needs read-only access.
The three roles at a glance
Your TransferGo business account now supports three roles:
- Owner — the main account holder. Owners can do everything, including inviting teammates and assigning or changing their roles.
- Admin — can make transfers, top up wallets, manage receivers and run day-to-day operations, just like before.
- Viewer (new) — can log in and review the account, see transactions and export statements, but can't send money or make any changes.
Only the Owner can add or remove teammates and change their role.
How to change a teammate's role
Owners can switch a teammate between Admin and Viewer at any time:
- Go to Team.
- Select the teammate you want to update.
- In the side panel, change their role and save.
Your teammate will automatically receive an email letting them know their access has been updated.
What a Viewer will see
Once they're set up, a Viewer can log in and browse your business account in read-only mode. They'll be able to view multi-currency accounts, savings and balances, review the full transaction history, filter and export statements, see receivers and batch payments, download receipts, generate invoices and contact our Customer Support team.
Availability
The Viewer role is available to all TransferGo business customers who have multi-user access enabled. If you can't see the Team menu yet, please get in touch with our Customer Support team and we'll help you get set up.
