To help you get started, we’ve put together a handy guide for your registration process. Before diving in, it’s a good idea to have a few documents ready, like your personal ID, business registration document, and (if needed) your articles of association.
Sharing necessary information
At TransferGo, keeping things secure and meeting financial regulations is so important to us. To make sure everything runs smoothly, we’re legally required to collect some information from you—it helps keep TransferGo a safe and trusted platform.
In just a few easy steps, we’ll ask for some basic details about you and your business. You’ll also verify your identity and upload your business documents. It’s straightforward, and we’re here to guide you through it.
Company information
This includes key details like your business name, company type, registration number, tax ID, and incorporation date. You can find this information in your business registration documents or on https://www.gov.uk/government/organisations/companies-house.
Location
Let us know the country where your business is based—we serve many regions. For some businesses, the registered address and trading address might be different.
Registered address is where official mail goes.
Trading address is where your business operates daily.

Contact information
To keep communication smooth, make sure the contact details are up-to-date. Your TransferGo profile can be managed by you or an appointed company representative, such as a director, employee, or accountant.
Transfer Purpose
Let us know the main reasons for your transfers, whether it's for supplier payments, business consultancy, or other services.
Additional stakeholders
If your company has multiple directors or shareholders, please provide the details for all of them.
ID verification
At TransferGo, we prioritise compliance with financial regulations. We follow the rules set by HMRC, FCA, and the Bank of Lithuania (BOL), including the mandatory KYB ("Know Your Business") procedures for every business joining our platform.
KYB procedures, required by regulatory authorities for financial institutions, involve verifying the identities of businesses and their key personnel, such as directors and shareholders. This includes collecting ID documents to maintain transparency and accountability.
Company documents
As part of the registration process, we ask for key documents that verify your business entity. This includes details such as your business name, registration number, business address, and the structure of your directors and shareholders.
For freelancers and sole traders
If you're a freelancer or sole trader, the process may differ a bit. We'll ask for personal details like your legal name, tax ID number, and business address.
